Although Ganesha’s facial deformity might cause him to be shunned by other cultures, the Hindus believe that his is a gift from God and revere him. It was our special privilege to get to know Ganisha and his fellow Nagas. We sat under the shade of a banyan tree at their camp site and took chai with them on many occasions. Namaste, The elephant festival show yesterday was wonderful! It was what we had missed last year and the thing that I had most wanted to see!Louise and I, Stuart Sims, spend 3 months out of ever year in India. Here are some movie clips of India..Enjoy! There were more than 100 elephants, all intricately painted and decorated, processing in a giant arena-like stadium. There were special canopied seats for the tourists….and there were hundreds and hundreds of people.
