value of a ring? Antique (approx. 1920's) platinum with 1.6 carat center diamond (almost 2 carat total)?
It valued for about 13k 10 yrs ago… do you think it would appraise for more or less now? (it was appraised at a jewelry store)

Sorry if that’s a dumb question. I have never gone to a "real" jewelry store to try on rings. I roughly know my size, but may be off by a half size or so. My ring now is an antique that happens to fit.
So if we go to try on rings, will they automatically check and tell me my size, or do I have to ask? Not to be a dolt but they don’t charge for that, do they? I am totally jewelry clueless.
