How do I clean porous, vintage jewelry?

My neighbor, whose home is FULL of antiques, gave me some very vintage jewelry when I was younger. One of the pieces is a long necklace made of an unknown metal with many large, teal beads. They are so soft and porous, I’m not sure if they’re stones. After sitting up on a cabinet in my kitchen for several years, they’ve accumulated some dust and I tried to wash them, without success. Any suggestions?

How to clean old acrylic costume jewelry?

old acrylic (lucite, bakelite?) strung necklaces & bracelets, funky earrings, and a TON of plastic bangles.

they’re so lovely and light weight, perfect for chunky bracelets and earrings, but i’m scared i’ll destroy them :(

any… Continue reading How to clean old acrylic costume jewelry?

DG3 Art Gel Collage Pendants

I am not quite the scrapbooking type, but I have managed to hone in on a collage like skill, skill maybe stretching it, but little works of art yes, you know art is subjective… I will demonstrate this great dimentional adhesive, DG3 Art Gel. It is used like the Diamond Glaze but on a larger and deeper scale. Some scrapbooking paper a few pewter charms and these great frame pendants in antique silver can turn your creations in to art! www.auntiesbeads.com
