Who do I go to to have a stone in a ring replaced?
I bought a ring (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l10/mucho14/march08/277.jpg) recently and I love everything about it except the stone. Since its an antique ring I can’t just buy another one in a different colour so does anyone know if there exists someone that I can go to to see if they can replace the stone in it? I think if I went into some random jewellery shop and asked them they’d look at me like I was crazy.

I’m located in the Kansas City area and my girlfriend and I are shopping for engagement rings. She wants something that is antique, and we are struggling to find good antique jewelers in the area. We’ve mostly run across pawn shops and antique stores that have a few pieces of jewelry. We’re hoping to find a store that specializes in antique jewelry and has a good selection of antique engagement rings. She likes that art deco/filigree look, and it’s tough to find stores that carry it.
