I have a new ring I just bought that I really like but not the black antiquing that was used to bring out the detail - I prefer it to be all silver. I tried using Sparex acid disolved in hot water and left overnight but the blackening is still there. Does anyone know how to remove the blackening?

DO NOT GET MAD
I love antiques, statues, etc. I am visiting India next year, if I buy a piece of Ivory can I take it out of India and get it into the United States?
Another question, I saw somewhere on the internet you can only take a certain amount of gifts out of India 0.00, is this correct? Or is it that if I buy my daughter a gold bracelet, I just have to pay the Tarif tax, if it is over that amount?

try silver polish?? idk if all else fails go to a jeweler they’ll know how to do it
I do not know!
ok
It’s probably just a thin coating of paint, like what’s used when you antique a piece of wood. Paint thinner should do.
