Can someone identify this small locket-type item I found with my great/grandmother's jewelry?
I was wondering if anyone out there knew what it was. I only ask because it doesn’t look like a traditional necklace locket… and it’s too small to be a calling card holder; unless calling cards could be a lot smaller than business cards today. I’ve added links to pictures:

Can antique ivory jewelry be appraised and sold (re: ivory laws)?
or is it illegal regardless of age? I have these antique ivory necklaces and earrings which were my great grandmother’s. They are old and kind of yellowish in color and I just never wear them. Please no links. Not interested in any transactions with YA users. Just would like my question answered in the form of a yes or no. Thanks.
